What a meal for a maiden entry about food, when Adam Road Food Centre isn't even a beanery; certainly not a place I call a restaurant or cafe, nor some place I label as inferior. So here it is, our Big Prawn Noodle from the famous Adam Road Big Prawn Noodle stall. (It has its counterpart in Zion Road by the way, if it is still there after these years...) We could have gotten 3.5 bowls of typical prawn noodles from normal stalls and eat our hearts' (or rather, our guts') content, but we'd have missed those humongous prawns certainly and that would be quite a bummer. (sandra: not a bummer for our pockets though. The smallest bowl of "big prawn" noodles here cost 7 bucks!) However, the chilli powder could have been more fiery to spice things up a little more.

And next is something that would be really useful in testing how functional your taste buds are. If they are working, you'd probably cringe in disgust over the extreme bitterness and thought it was the worst kind of traditional chinese medicine. The warning sign could have been bigger, either that, or the buyer could have been more alert and wished that he/she was in the know or had taken the advice of one of the poor souls who was previously victimised by it. ( sandra: told you so!) Would be good to take it over a honeycoated tongue =P Or risk losing all your prowess in sweet talking!
